Is this true because before I got my pump I was formula feeding for 3 days in the hospital, and they said to give 2 oz. every 2-3 hours. This would not be true for breastmilk right? I managed to pump 4 oz today in one sitting and my son drank it all and burped and did not even spit up. Am I overfeeding my 11 day old son?

My little girl is 6 months on the 22nd and have just started to introduce rusks and baby rice. Im still breastfeeding her so have been adding other foods to her routine. Been doing this for just over a week now. Spoke to my health visitor today and she doesnt recommend rusks as they are too sugary! Whereas my mum swears by them. Any advice by other mums in the weaning situation would be of help as im new to all of this. Ive also been told not to buy any of the books? Thank you.

i pump for the oldest two they get the milk in sippy cups and the baby is on the breast she still feeds 12-15 times a day.
i am pregnant also and will nurse.
the problem is now my oldest wants to nurse more than at night before bed. i nurse them each to sleep. what do i do
do i let him nurse or not he tells me mommy i miss boobie milkie. he goes crazy if its in a cup,
everyone says hes to old to nurse still. i love the feeling of feeding them. but its quite demanding now that he wants to suckle5-6 times a day. i still nurse my 2 year old 3-5 times a day too. i have no plans to ween either

I am 27 weeks pregnant and Have been doing so much research on breastfeeding and babies eating/sleeping patterns, just to prepare myself.
I intend on breastfeeding , with the exception of pumping from time to time after a few months.
There are sooo many books on breastfeeding, But i haven’t found 1 that tells you anything about bottle feeding (because even though i wish to breastfeed you never know for certain if you can) so here are a few questions:
1: How many ounces does a newborn drink??
2: When you make a bottle up and take it on an outing with you and baby, how do you warm it up?
3. how many bottles/supplies do i need to buy?
4. if i am breastfeeding and decide to pump for a bottle feeding for later, when should i pump?? and when will my milk be replenished enough for the next feeding?
PLease help i am very grateful.

When you pump your breast do you loose the same amount of weight if you were to feed directly from the breast.

My son is 5 days old and I have tried to breast feed, I know all the benefits and feel that it is a great choice, how ever we have serious complications; he wont lack on, I am too big, and he doesnt eat enough to prevent me from terrible engorment, so I have decided to exclusively pump, but I cant help but to feel terribely like a failure… I dont know where to turn for resources or info on exclusive pump feeding.. again I feel like a failure..
and on top of everything I took him to the doctor today and he has lost weight, I just feel like the worlds worst mom.. I cant even take care of my child..

Breast feeders: How often do you feed your baby? Say you pump and feed. If you pump how soon afterwards can you bf? (I’m wanting to pump in order to save milk and feed also)
Formula feeders: How much powder formula do you go through in a month? How many cans? How many ounces are in a can?

How is it supposed to sound? I am getting about an ounce and a half every 3 hours, I am pumping every three hours. I was feeding him without pumping, but he’s a preemie and he seems to be wanting to nurse for an hour, sometimes more, and then will take 1-2 oz formula after that.

My husband and I are doing natuarl family planning. So far it has worked as I did ecological breastfeeding. My son is 8 months old and my period has returned. I was just curious what are the best books out there that covers a lot of information on Natural Family Planning? I have heard of The art of natural family planning. But what ones do you reccomend?

I am just wondering when to 1. start pumping and saving and 2. start feeding from a bottle. Ideally I’d like to breast feed when I am with baby and have caregivers and my husband bottle feed breast milk.
