My wife was reading the book “The Complete Book of Breastfeeding” in preparation of starting to bottle feed our baby. Page 350 says “avoid overnight thawing of milk”. No explanation given. Anyone know?
How do you recommend thawing frozen milk?
He only nurses at night, during the day he is at daycare and on the weekends he will ask me during nap times Iam not pumping milk and he takes nap at daycare he drinks regular milk and eats really well. Iam just tired of the express milk all night. what can i do to convince him its time, we talked about being a big boy and breast milk is for babys. I have even told him that they were broken and he told me that he could fix them.
Okay i have a few questions…
( i am 25 weeks preg)
I decided im going to breast feed my baby, and i have a few questions..
This will be my first baby so thats why im asking this..
I hear you can freeze breast milk. And im wondering do you just defrost it in the microwave? Or do you let it defrost in the fridge? Also do you store it in zip block bags? And what are some things i need if im going to breast feed? Nipple cream, breast pump… pads for my bra? Sorry i have so many questions but i figure why not ask you ladies!
I dont want the copper one as i explained on my 6 week check and she said thats fine but now im booked in will they give me a choice and do they do a pregnancy test (i havnt had a period since birth 15 weeks ago due to breastfeeding and no havn’t had sex) x
If so then what do I do to switch how do I change my pumping and should I hange my pump
ok ever since ive been preggo my boobs jumped up a size.
which is good.. but i got alotttttta stretch marks there, and on my sides, legs, and butt.
not good. so im feeling
pretty nasty and ugly and have barley any confidence… : /
and im worried that if i breastfeed my boobs will get smaller and saggy, : (
i want whats best for my baby but idk what to beleive
some ppl are telling me to use a breast pump and never let the baby on my breast… and some ppl are telling me to just use formula.
then theres some ppl telling me to breastfeed w/ baby on breast and pump use and see what happens.
i wanna know if breastfeeding will cause me to lose my breasts… and if it does what can i do to feed my baby with breastmilk…w/o making my boobs smaller.
srry if i seem to worried its just i wanna know what else of my body will be gone before it happens..
being preggo i already feel shitty but now with all the stretch marks i feel worse.
only thing that keeps me smiling is the thought of my baby.
anyone know what i should do??
???help????
I have done internet research and book reading on the subject (we did some attachment parenting including breastfeeding and holding baby when he cried, etc. although we didn’t co-sleep), but I’d be interested in hearing some of the mommies own versions of what it is… and why is it so popular these days?
I’m just curious of some of your experiences so I’m better equiped with knowledge for when we have our next babe.
Thanks!
I have many thoughts and reasons behind this, You share to make the discussion more interesting and helpful for UK mothers, about breast feeding.
I am really not selfish… maybe a little. But honestly my mom told me that formula is better because it has more vitamins and the baby gains weight faster and sleeps longer. Ok, so I will do more research on this. But what if the baby can’t drink milk? Both me and my gf are lactose intolerant. Will this matter? Give me a break here, I am excited to be a dad but scared and clueless too. Where can I find good information without the hostility? websites? books?
My ex is pregnant and we have decided that I will raise the child (yes I know the chances of her changing her mind after he is born are high…). I have express to her that I would really like to have a breast fed baby. I was under the assumption that the child would have to be with the mother at all times to breast feed properly. After speaking with her yesterday, she said that a breast pump is enough to pump all the milk needed to feed the baby (assuming she didnt have complications producing) and the baby could still be with me.
Is that actually possible? Can she actually pump enough milk everyday that I could actually pick up and feed my son properly or would I have to use formula also?
P.S. She already has 5 children so I tend to believe everyhing she says.
