honestly, what you’re feeling is very normal. that’s how i felt too.. my breasts had always been sexual to me too… until i breastfed my first daughter… once your baby latches on, your breasts become maternal as well…

When I feed my babies, nothing sexual ever crosses my mind.
When my husband touches my breasts, breastfeeding never crosses my mind.
You will be so overcome with joy and happiness feeding your baby so I am sure you will not have any issues.

lol im 6 months pregnant and i will be breast feeding also i feel the same its so wierd how can you look down and see a baby sucking your nipple eww lol but i guess you just have to look at it in a way that tells you God gave you nipples to feed and nourish your baby

yah i definetly did have this problem, especially be being 17 and thinking boobs were primarily for sex. it took me some time to get used to it and once i realized first hand that this is what boobs are for [i knew it before, but its different when you realize it for yourself]. plain and simple i just sucked it up, i knew i wanted to give my son the best chance at life and what not and to do everything right. im not saying formula feeding isnt right or what not, just my personal opinion that breast is best

When it comes to it…it isn’t weird. It’s just right. You’re bound to feel weird about it right now, because there is no living person for whom it would be right. You’ll feel differently when baby is born. I mean, it’s a lot less weird than having a baby come out of your vagina, right?

Once you have your baby, it won’t be an issue. You’ll be able to nurse and just think about baby, and then when/if your husband plays with ‘em it’ll be sexual. You’ll find that your mind can easily make the adjustment, you won’t even have to think about it.

Well, really, the baby doesn’t suck your nipple. If he/she does, he/she won’t get much milk! Your baby actually should have your nipple back in the throat and be “sucking” on the areola. Either way, just trust me, once you have that baby, maternal feelings will rule everything else out.

you won’t even see your nipples, you’ll be so distracted by this beautiful baby that you helped create. it’ll become so natural. it’s normal to feel weirded out. but always remember that is what our boobs are designed for. your child will remind you of that.
sexual reasons and feeding the baby will be so different from each other. your breasts will still be sexual but not during nursing. your mind changes between your baby and your husband/bf.
remember, your vagina is sexual too, but it’s not during the delivery. it’s a birth canal now lol. i hope this helps you.

I thought it would be really weird too, but then I thought “hey, you’re helping your baby life and she’s going to be a lot healthier” so yea, its weird when you’re at the hospital and people are touching you trying to get the baby to latch on right, but trust me, they do it every day and its not weird at all. If you really want to do it, you’ll lose that frame of mind and everything will be okay!

I was weirded out at first too. It’s just something you have to come to terms with – part of your evolution into a mom. I would encourage you to talk to your partner about these feelings. Watching you give birth may also make him have weird feelings about sex with you post-baby. It’s essential to keep communications honest, open and loving. You may find that talking and working through this awkwardness together brings you and your partner even closer to one another.
