I dont get why they’re so supersistious with this breast milk getting on things. Is there a story behind this hmong breast milk thing? They so said it was dangerous for men bcause it has powerful whatever stuff against man, but i rubbed it on myhusband for the fun of it. Can someone tell me the reason please? If you’re not hmong or you dont know what a hmong person is please dont add a comment like what is hmong or write something dumb?

Every culture has its old wives’ tales- I’m not sure of the reason behind that particular one, but it’s pretty interesting!

Many cultures have superstitions about lots of things…including breastfeeding….but for these superstitions to have any power over you…you need to believe them.
If you choose to believe that breastfeeding your baby is more important than some old country superstition (which I happen to think it is) then don’t let it bother you, do what you need to do and feed your baby.
You’re doing the right thing, the natural thing, the normal thing.
On a side note…I don’t know the Hmong reasons for not spilling breastmilk…but I can tell you that breastmilk is SUPER full of fat…so if you spill it on fabric, it will stain it just as bad as cooking oil would. I can’t tell you how many shirts I have ruined with breastmilk spit up…

I don;t know the reasons, but there are a lot of breastfeeding superstitions. Just smile and nod, and go about your usual business.
