I am not against breast feeding my child after he is born, but I am also not very comfortable with it either.
I was just wondering if it is possible to pump after my baby is born and feed him my breast milk from a bottle instead of from my actual breast.
If it is not, I will suck it up and feed him the regular way. I will not let my discomfort with breast feeding deprive my child of my milk.
(ps. no rude or sarcastic comments please. If you feel the need to be a jerk, take it somewhere else)

Yes you can definitely do this, but be prepared it’s very time consuming.
You need to express milk every 2-3 hours or you’ll breasts will become engorged with milk, be sore and heavy and possibly leak quite a bit. Usually you’ll have warning, everyone told me when they need to pump there breasts would go heavy for a good 15mins before any leakage or pain.
The only thing that really got me with pumping is that in the night, you can have bottles prepared for your baby already as it take a good 15/20mins to pump into the bottle so best to have them ready and just needing a heat up, but you still need to pump into the bottle as your breasts will need emptied, so if you think about it, 20mins for feeding your baby and another 20mins of pumping and say another 20mins for changing them and putting them back to sleep, that could take an hour or even more, then the time you get back to sleep it’s time for the next feed again.
I’m not comfortable with breastfeeding either, i was to express into bottles, but since realising how hard it seems then i’ll give breastfeeding a shot first, i think our maternal instincts will kick in and we’ll want to feed by breast.

yeah, it would work!
and breast milk is the healthiest (better than formula, proved studies!)
but if you feed off your actual breast i think you will find it very enjoyable after you get used to it! (i did/do)
it creates an extra special bond between you and baby

you can feed your baby from a bottle that youve prepared…definitely. many babies dont quite know how to latch on right away so they are given formula that is ready in a bottle there at the hospital.

Yes, it’s perfectly fine. The hospital staff had me pump to stimulate my milk but some babies drink straight from a bottle from the beginning. Do what you feel most comfortable with.
