I am 15 weeks with my second due 4th August!!!
I used the Medla Mini Electric Breast pump which is £55 in places like Mothercare. Don’t go for a manual pump as they are just useless!!
Also i thought i’d let hubby give milk but pumping is just so knackering and it’s best to do of a morning but then baby drains you in the morning and sometimes after 30 mins pumping i would only get 3oz so i gave up and just let baby feed as normal. Also pumping can reduce you milk supply as baby needs to stimulate the milk for good supply.
This time round i am just gonna do the same i think as can sit attached to a pump for hours!!
I knew my life had changed when my milk came in and i was using my pump in the bath (you can use batteries or mains powered) with my husband, Son (helps if look at baby for let down) and my cat all watching!!! Hmmmmm
Take care and goos luck with the baby keep in touch so i can see how ya getting along!!

Medela Pump in Style. It is expensive, about $275 for a new one, but look on craigslist for a used one. I saw several for under one hundred dollars. Sterilize the tubes, bottles, and all the parts that touch milk by boiling them in a pot of water for 20 minutes.
If you’re planning on going back to school or work when you are still breastfeeding, and therefore will need to pump regularly, I would recommend spending the money on a Medela. A nurse working with lactating women told me that other pumps work, but you don’t know whether they’ll work for you until you’ve tried them…Medelas are very high quality and work for nearly everybody.
If you’re only going to pump once in a while, to relieve engorgement or give a bottle a few times a week, you could just buy a manual pump or do hand expression.

if you don’t plan on pumping every single day, just as its needed, then a manual hand pump is fine. I have the ‘AVENT ISIS’ hand held pump and I find it great. This is my second one as i had one with my first baby too but gave it away so I didn’t hesitate to buy it again. I have heard very good things about the Medela brand pumps too. Invest in breastmilk bags for storing as its much easier than freezing the bottles and takes up less room in the freezer.

i used the basic madela model breast pump. its a single, manual pump but it was really inexpensive and pretty easy to use. it took me about 15 minutes to pump a 4 oz bottle with a manual pump. but its ok though, if you dont have a lot of cash on hand this one is great, and really easy to assemble/disassemble and wash.

I only have a Medela manual breast pump. I love it! I can easily pump 4 ounces in 10 minutes on one breast. I don’t think most manuals can do that. It is extremely comfortable in your hand and very easy to clean. I can slip it in my purse and pump a bottle before we go into the mall. No matter what kind of pump you get, Medela is the best brand. Oh and I only paid around 50 bucks for it.

Avent pump and bottles are great.
You can also hire electronic pumps from the hospital if you are planning to pump often.

I found that the electric breast pumps worked better for me rather than the ones you pump yourself I seemed to get more milk out this way.

Medela Swing, it’s a single electric pump, really handy and not too expensive.
